Adding Products to Your Listing

Create a listing

If you haven't yet, you'll want to create a listing. If you have a listing you've already made, find it in your dashboard and click "Manage settings " to edit your listing.

Adding Products

To add a new product, click "Add New Product." If your description or listing name match any of the products in our database, you will see "Suggested Products" and be able to easily click on each one you would like to add.

If you're manually adding a product, type the product name in the "Product Name" field. Depending on your browser, you'll see a list of matching products as you start typing. On mobile, this could appear in your keyboard. Try to match your product name to one in the list. If you do not, you'll be adding a custom product. Users will see custom products on your listing but will not be able to favorite them, filter by them, or get notified about them.

Adding More Information

If you'd like to stop after just adding product names, that's alright! Users can now search and filter by the products you sell, helping them find exactly what they're looking for. However, Local Picks offers more options for displaying product information.

• Product Category

  Only enabled for custom products. If you are adding a supported product, it will automatically be selected.

• Product Description/Varieties

  Add custom varieties to your product. For example, product name could be Apple and varieties could include Gala and Honeycrisp. If you have a lot of varieties, you can also add multiple products with the same name, as long as they have different varieties. Will be displayed as Apples • Gala

• Seasons

  If you have seasonal products, let users know when they can find each one by selecting the seasons it is available.

• Availability Details

  If you need to get more specific, you can communicate more specifically when a product is available. For example, "September 1 through October 15."

• Pricing Info

  Add pricing information about each product. Any text is accepted, does not have to be a number. For example, "$3.99/lb"

That's it! Remember to click save to save your product information and update your listing.
